'Japan Brand Development' Subsidy to Support Businesses in The Tourism Sector

Subsidy for product development for both B2B and B2C companies.

The aim of this subsidy is to create new local products and services that improve the 'Japan brand' power, boost the communication reach of Japan tourism related businesses, and create attractive local products and services that will help Japan businesses overcome the effects of the coronavirus on the tourism industry.
There are two types of business support available:
1) B2C support type
For SMEs and small businesses to develop products and services that meet market needs and promote Japan. The subsidy can be used to cover the costs of efforts to develop sales channels in new markets.
Subsidy maximum amount per company: 5 million yen
Subsidy rate: Up to two thirds of cost
Assumed usage example:
By developing an E-Commerce site that sells new Japanese products or services. The subsidy could be used to develop new sales channels domestically or abroad.
(2) B2B support type
For companies that support local businesses organizations. Conducting market research, product promotion for small and medium-sized businesses that are engaged in the development of new local products and the branding of these products.
Subsidy maximum amount:20 million yen
Subsidy ratio: Up to two-thirds of the cost.
Assumed usage example:
Supporting the utilization of crowdfunding, e-commerce etc. The support for companies to improve sales results.
